seeing red?

If you've seen a gorgeous pair of shoes with a bright red sole, you've probably just been Louboutin-ed. Christian Louboutin is a french designer known for his high-end, high-fashion shoes complete with a signature red sole. So when the unavoidable red sole catches your eye, you know it's Louboutin.


So what happens when another company starts throwing the red soles on their shoes? A lawsuit of course. Fashion powerhouse Yves Saint Laurent began manufacturing shoes with the same coloured sole and so followed the lawsuit. But with both fashion icons having such strong following how does this look to their consumer? What are your thoughts? Read the story here.

I just wanted to thank my good friend Dexter for creating this image for me! I was looking for something for my Advanced Web assignment. We have to make a professional website, complete with our résumé and portfolio. After doing some research, I noticed a lot of professional websites have their photo or some sort of self portrait incorporated in the design.

I didn't want an actual photo of myself - partially due to insecurity aha. So I took inspiration from Garance Doré's illustration. She's a fashion photographer/illustrator and I suggest you check her blog out. Very talented! Take care, lovelies!
